Class Summary

EthernetAddress

Manage ethernet address objects and provide a means to determine the ethernet address of the machine the JVM is running on.

Package com.ccg.net.ethernet Description

Classes related to working with Ethernet addresses..

The classes defined in this package provide a means to work with Ethernet addresses. This includes the following:

• A means to work with ASCII representations of Ethernet addresses.
• A means to work with binary representations of Ethernet addresses.
• A means (at least a attempt) to retrieve the Ethernet address(es) related to the local host - note this requires the installation of native code.

Please refer to the EthernetAddress class overview and the sample program PrintMAC.java before proceeding too far.
